Fundraising For #JapanQuake - Planning Meeting

Most of you have already heard by now about what’s happened in Japan in the past 24-48 hours. Needless to say, this disaster has touched us all. While rescue efforts are being planned and with various domestic and international aid organizations already working to secure donations and begin the process of assisting those who have been displaced, there’s much we can do here at home.

To that end, I’m organizing a team to help co-ordinate and execute a fundraising event here in Toronto. We will be meeting tomorrow to begin these efforts. The details:

When: 3pm, Saturday March 12th 2011
Where: Dark Horse Cafe, 684 Queen Street West

If you’ve got an hour or two to spare tomorrow, and you’re able to contribute your gifts towards:

• securing sponsors,
• visual and/or web design,
• volunteer co-ordination,
• social media (including blogger outreach and email marketing),
• public relations,
• and event design
